Past your monthly quota, renders bill at €0.02 and e-signature requests at €0.10, deducted from your prepaid balance. Top up any time from the billing page. Free tenants hit a hard cap — no overage path.
Free workspaces inactive for 12 months are wiped (a warning email goes out at 11 months).

What counts as a render?
One generated PDF = one render. Bulk jobs count each item. Failed renders (4xx/5xx) don't count.
What happens if I exceed the quota?
On Free it is a hard cap: the API returns HTTP 402 until the quota resets on the 1st (UTC) or you upgrade. Paid tiers keep rendering — overage bills from your prepaid balance, and 402 only appears once quota AND balance are used up. The dashboard keeps working either way.
Can I downgrade?
Yes — through the Stripe billing portal at any time. The downgrade takes effect at the end of the current period.
Do you store my PDFs?
Source PDFs you upload are kept in EU-region object storage so the API can fill them. Generated PDFs are streamed back and not retained, except for async bulk jobs — those produce a single ZIP that lives ~1 hour, then is deleted (the job row stays for history).
How does overage billing work?
Past your monthly quota, renders bill at €0.02 each and e-signature requests at €0.10 each, deducted from a prepaid balance you top up from the billing page. The balance is shared across both. When it reaches zero AND you've used your included quota, the API returns 402 — no surprise charges. Free tenants hit a hard cap with no overage path. Self-hosted installs bypass this entirely.
