  • Byte responses (Accept: application/pdf / zip) are never stored — streamed back and discarded.
  • JSON responses store the file for ttlSeconds (plan-capped: Free 30 min, Advanced 7 d, Pro 30 d, Enterprise 90 d), then delete it automatically.
  • Download URLs last at most 7 days. Mint a fresh one anytime with GET /renders/:id/url (or GET /jobs/:id for job ZIPs) until expiresAt.
  • Sign requests stay signable for up to 30 days; the signed PDF is kept 90 days. Request metadata stays for audit after files age out.
